The State Of New York Kicks Out Charter Spectrum


So the New York State government voted to kick the cable provider Spectrum out of the state after they failed to create a high speed network in rural areas. Spectrum will have to continue to operate until the state finds a company to replace them. Spectrum will also have to pay a $3 million penalty.
New York made a provisional approval of the merger between Charter Communications and Spectrum, however without the rural internet agreement, the state has pulled back on that approval and kicked them out.
